Our Story

Set up in 2003 KONK since serves as an institution for allowing Berlin-based designers and labels to explore their creativity and to experiment with new styles.

We are stocking a big selection from Overallover, Anntian, Damur, A.Herb, Rob-ert, Tiedeken, Franzius, Francine and many more.

We also curate a well thought out assortment of jewellery such as from Naoko Ogawa, Lisa Kroeber, Elizabeth Leflar as well as selected leather goods from MPlus and MYLBerlin.

Like our designers we are locals, together we consciously place value on local, fair and high-quality production.

In addition, we always enter into erasmus partnerships in order to communicate with people from other countries. This has already resulted in great partnerships, such as with the polish photographer Kaska Jankiewicz or the Slovenian fashion designer FRANCINE.

I’m KatjaWetzel

I came to Konk by chance: there was simply a note in the window looking for a new owner. At the time, I had 20 years of theatre work as a stage and costume designer behind me and was looking for a new challenge.

Since I studied fashion in West Berlin in the 80s, this was an obvious option. So I didn't hesitate for long and the shop was mine!

I think the concept of working mainly with Berlin labels is great - it gives you the opportunity to know and love the people behind the fashion and to know exactly how much heart, creativity and fairness they put into their work!

Besides that, it is a great desire of mine to connect people and to organise new events again and again. Here I am a passionate hostess and I am happy about every new connection that is created at KONK. I am also open to great objects and artworks that find an exhibition space here alongside fashion.

I am very happy that we still exist despite all the difficulties of the last few years and I very much wish that it stays that way!
